Museum Assistance Program

As research centers, educational institutions, and tangible links between communities and their heritage, historic and cultural museums improve the quality of life of Maryland’s residents and enrich the state’s tourism offerings. The Maryland Historical Trust’s Museum Assistance Program promotes excellence in the management, programming, and maintenance of Maryland’s approximately 200 historical and cultural museums. MHT’s workshops and trainings are often produced in partnership with other statewide, regional and national organizations.

Please note: the Maryland Historical Trust's Museum Assistance Program has not received funding since 2011 and is currently unstaffed. For other funding and technical assistance offerings, please explore MHT's other funding programs as well as the "Links" and "Funding Opportunities" listed in the sidebar.
